Biennial Smog Inspection

We perform the standard biennial smog check required for California registration renewal. Using state-certified OBD-II diagnostic equipment for 1996 and newer vehicles, we test your emissions systems and provide the certificate the DMV needs to process your registration.

Change of Ownership Smog

Selling or transferring a vehicle in California requires a smog certificate dated within 90 days of the sale. We provide change of ownership smog inspections so you can complete your vehicle sale without delays.

Out-of-State Registration

Registering a vehicle from another state in California requires a smog inspection. We test out-of-state vehicles and provide the certificate needed to complete your California registration.

Emissions Pre-Check

California requires most gasoline vehicles 1976 and newer and diesel vehicles 1998 and newer to pass a smog inspection every two years for registration renewal. Vehicles eight model years old or newer are exempt from testing but pay a smog abatement fee instead.
